On June 27, Larry McElveen will embark on The Miracle Miles Ride, a 17-day, 10,000 mile motorcycle ride from South Carolina to Alaska to benefit children who are treated at McLeod Children’s Hospital Pediatric Rehabilitation. Each day, Larry will share the story of a special child he is riding for while showcasing video of his adventures. For more information on the trip, email Larry at: email@example.com.
About the Rider...
Larry McElveen lives and works in Florence, SC. When he’s not spending time with his children, Morgan and Preston, he enjoys riding his motorcycle. He bought his first motorcycle about 10 years ago. Short trips started getting longer and before he knew it he was taking week-long motorcycle adventures on an annual basis. While Larry rides solo, he is quick to tell you he never rides alone. "It is always God and me. It’s all about getting out on the open road with God and exploring His creation, seeing things I’ve never seen before and may never see again," says Larry.
This year Larry is going further in more sense than one. He knows how blessed he is to be able to take these trips and wants to do something in return. So for every mile he rides to Alaska and back he will be raising money for his Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. All proceeds will go directly to McLeod Children’s Hospital in Florence, SC and be designated to support McLeod Pediatric Rehabilitation. Larry hopes that with the money raised, some of the patients may be able to enjoy what many children, and adults, take for granted. Perhaps a child will be able to take that first step to "the true miracle mile."
